Action ASTRINGENT, HEALING, HEAMOSTATIC, WORMICIDAL (ANTHELMINTIC) Because of astringent property due to the tannins it helps to stop bleeding from the gums, it helps to heal the wound and gives strength to gums for fixing of teeth. Because of Anthelmintic property ( as per renowned Ayurvedic text 'Bhav-Prakash') it can prevent bacterial growth in gums and thus prevents tooth decay. Because of hardening property, it is useful in spongy gums.

Action ASTRINGENT Because of astringent property decoction of bark is used as a gargle in salivation, in diseases of gums & teeth and for strengthening them. As it hardens the gums, it is useful in fixing the mobile teeth. Astringent property reduces the over secretion, thus useful in pyorrhoea and bleeding gums. Bark powder is more effective in spongy gums.

Action ASTRINGENT, ANTI INFLAMMATORY, HAEMOSTATIC, HEALING Paste made of bark is applied over inflammed part to reduce inflammation. Because of healing property it is useful in stomatitis and apthous ulcers in the mouth. Astringent property helps to strengthen the gums, thus fixes the mobile teeth. Astringent and Hoemostatic property reduces oversecretion from buccal mocosa and Bleeding from gums.

LAVANG ( FRUIT )

Action ASTRINGENT, HEALING ACTION Because of astringent property and tannins it becomes helpful in bleeding gums. It hardens the gums and reduces over secretion from the gums.

ACROD ( BARK )

Action ASTRINGENT, ANTISEPTIC, CLEANSING Because of cleansing and astringent effect it reduces the over secretions and cleanses the gums, which again helps to reduce tartar.
